Life has a funny way of bringing you back to your roots... I'm a former Montessori child who re-discovered Montessori at the age of 30.  After a successful career in the hospitality industry, I switched gears and chose a path that would allow me to give back by supporting children and families.

I got my Master's degree in Montessori Education and trained to be a Primary and Elementary AMI Montessori guide. I also became a certified Positive Discipline classroom and parent facilitator. 

For a long time, my happy place was in the Montessori classroom. Over the course of twelve years, I guided Primary and Elementary children at three Montessori schools. My two children attended Montessori programs from the time they were toddlers, and we followed the Montessori principles at home.

Sadly, the disturbing trend towards increased academic pressure and standardized testing eventually crept into our local Montessori community.  So we made the best decision EVER - we jumped into homeschooling!

When the pandemic hit in March 2020, dozens of families reached out through my Facebook group and blog, and asked me to support them in their own homeschool journeys.  And that's how Mainly Montessori was born!

I am thrilled that I get to connect with so many courageous, creative, and pioneering Montessori families around the globe.  Thanks for joining me on this amazing journey!
